Charities and individuals around the world are being given the opportunity to pay homage to the millions of people around the world who give their time for free to others, as we celebrate Volunteer Recognition Day on 20th April.
As specialists dealing in the care and social welfare sectors, McClarrons work closely with a wide range of organisations and get to see the invaluable work that these charities and their volunteers carry out every day.
McClarrons’ Care and Social Welfare Account Executive, Jonathan Copley said, “Working so closely with care homes and charities every day to understand their business and its processes really allows you to appreciate the invaluable role volunteers play in these organisations. Being involved with a huge variety of charities allows me to understand the intricacies involved with running such organisations and the integral role volunteers play in providing services to their community. It is a truly humbling experience to be involved with these companies and to see the work they do”.
Dr Ava Easton, Chief Executive of local charity The Encephalitis Society, whom McClarrons support said: “Volunteers are the life blood of The Society. We are a small charity which provides a service to people around the world. Without the dedication of our volunteers giving up their free time, our work would be so much tougher and the number of people we are able to reach – and help – much more limited.”
Countless hours are spent by volunteering individuals to make a difference to people’s lives – even saving them – providing comfort to animals, and working hard to maintain the integrity of our natural environment. McClarrons would like to take this opportunity to thank those people who give up their time to help others and for making our community a great place to both live and work.
