Due to McClarrons’ continued growth and development, we are looking to employ a new member of staff as a full time Commercial Account Handler. In this role you will work within the commercial team based in our head office at Malton.
What does the role involve?
- Understanding clients’ businesses fully in order to source and offer insurance solutions and quotations to them, in a confident and technically accurate manner
- Completing day to day renewal servicing and processing of commercial clients’ insurance policies
- Generating and recording accurate client documentation and billing
- Ensuring credit control
- Building client and insurer relationships
- Negotiating client terms with insurers
- Providing client policy administration following queries and changes
- Compliance with regulatory and business procedures.
What will you need?
- The ability to communicate with clients professionally, via phone and email and offer excellent customer service
- The ability to handle a busy working environment and to prioritise tasks
- A general understanding of how businesses work
- Previous insurance experience is preferred but is not essential if you are prepared to commit to an extensive training schedule
- A minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalents), including English and Maths
- MS Office skills.
