Each year, the NSPCC Duncombe Park Christmas Fair Committee put in a great deal of work to put on a fantastic Christmas Fair, raising funds for the NSPCC’s vital work in safeguarding children. Over the years, the event has raised over half a million pounds for the charity – an outstanding achievement, which makes a great deal of difference.
This year, McClarrons was one of the main sponsors of the fair and hosted a Champagne Drinks Reception for guests on arrival at The Preview Evening, on Thursday 16th November.
Throughout the rest of the evening and into the weekend, guests were able to enjoy socialising with family and friends and exploring the fair, which showcased a handpicked selection of exhibitors all with unusual luxury goods for people to buy; there was something for everyone’s Christmas list.
NSPCC Ambassador, Alan Shearer, commented: “I am very proud to be involved with this wonderful charity. I am passionate about doing what I can to raise awareness of the many problems our vulnerable children face today. My successful football career has given me a platform to speak from and I am determined to do what I can to help.
I would also like to thank the hard-working ladies of the Duncombe Park Christmas Fair Committee who make this all happen every year. They volunteer a huge amount of their time to get this Fair organised and we are all very grateful to them.

Along with the money from the ticket sales, 10% of all stallholders’ takings were donated to the NSPCC. At McClarrons we’ve also committed to giving 5% of any business arising from the event to the charity. So far, this year’s event has raised an amazing amount of around £40,000.
