Each year, the NSPCC Duncombe Park Christmas Fair Committee put in a great deal of work to put on a fantastic Christmas Fair, raising funds for the NSPCC\u2019s vital work in safeguarding children. Over the years, the event has raised over half a million pounds for the charity \u2013 an outstanding achievement, which makes a great deal of difference.<\/p>\n
This year, McClarrons was one of the main sponsors of the fair and hosted a Champagne Drinks Reception for guests on arrival at The Preview Evening, on Thursday 16th<\/sup> November.<\/p>\n Throughout the rest of the evening and into the weekend, guests were able to enjoy socialising with family and friends and exploring the fair, which showcased a handpicked selection of exhibitors all with unusual luxury goods for people to buy; there was something for everyone\u2019s Christmas list.<\/p>\n NSPCC Ambassador, Alan Shearer, commented: \u201cI am very proud to be involved with this wonderful charity. I am passionate about doing what I can to raise awareness of the many problems our vulnerable children face today. My successful football career has given me a platform to speak from and I am determined to do what I can to help. <\/em><\/p>\n I would also like to thank the hard-working ladies of the Duncombe Park Christmas Fair Committee who make this all happen every year. They volunteer a huge amount of their time to get this Fair organised and we are all very grateful to them.<\/em><\/p>\n A big thank you also to The Hon. Jake and Rafaella Duncombe for welcoming us into their wonderful home, Duncombe Park \u2013 a fantastic place in which to host Yorkshire\u2019s most glamorous Fair!\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n Along with the money from the ticket sales, 10% of all stallholders\u2019 takings were donated to the NSPCC. At McClarrons we\u2019ve also committed to giving 5% of any business arising from the event to the charity.
