Watch our round-up video and read below to see what we have been up to this year!<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/nV0vhxlYEWE\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><strong>Flooding in York<br \/>\n<\/strong>The New Year started with many of our clients waist-deep in water after Storms Eva, Frank and Desmond brought about terrible floods in Yorkshire and beyond. Our team at McClarrons were right beside our clients at this incredibly difficult time, to help move along the claims process and get their homes and businesses back to normal as soon as possible.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-1720\" src=\"https:\/\/www.networkportfolio.co.uk\/mcclarroninsurance.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/york-300x150.jpg\" alt=\"York Floods Christmas Round Up\" width=\"300\" height=\"150\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Fundraising events, charity capers and sponsorship<\/strong><br \/>\nWe\u2019ve thrown ourselves into the region\u2019s packed social calendar in 2016, sponsoring events that are important to us, including the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.networkportfolio.co.uk\/mcclarroninsurance.com\/blog\/mcclarrons-sponsor-magical-night\/\">RABI\u2019s Magic of Farming Ball<\/a> which raised \u00a36,300 for the cause, exhibiting at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.networkportfolio.co.uk\/mcclarroninsurance.com\/blog\/icg-conference-exhibition-2016\/\">Independent Care Group Conference<\/a>, as well as driving fundraising efforts to raise money for charities close to our hearts.<br \/>\nOur own farm team laced up their trainers and battled through nets, space hoppers and mud slides to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.networkportfolio.co.uk\/mcclarroninsurance.com\/blog\/mcclarrons-vine-vixens-brave-mud-cancer-research\/\">Pretty Muddy<\/a> finish line, raising \u00a3685 for Cancer Research UK. The efforts for the charity continued in the more hospitable environment of our warm office on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.networkportfolio.co.uk\/mcclarroninsurance.com\/blog\/mcclarrons-wear-pink\/\">Wear it Pink day<\/a>, with pink cakes, ties, shirts and even a cowboy hat!<\/p>\n<p>For this year\u2019s Aviva Community Fund we put forward Herriot Hospice Homecare in Northallerton and, having reached the final stages, we have our fingers crossed as we wait to hear the results.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Industry recognition, progression and education<\/strong><br \/>\nHaving handled over 1,400 claims, increased our client base and workforce and introduced new products, we can certainly feel the momentum of our business shifting up a gear.<br \/>\nAnd it seems as though we\u2019re not the only ones, as we were awarded <a href=\"https:\/\/www.networkportfolio.co.uk\/mcclarroninsurance.com\/blog\/mcclarrons-win-broker-innovation-year-award\/\">Broker Innovation of the Year Award<\/a> at Broker Network\u2019s annual conference on Friday 7th October for our product <a href=\"https:\/\/www.networkportfolio.co.uk\/mcclarroninsurance.com\/rural\/rural-protect\/\">Rural Protect<\/a>.<br \/>\nWe\u2019ve used our inside knowledge to translate worldwide issues such as cyber crime, and industry developments into the real-life operations of small businesses in our various seminars, including an interactive session at The Great Yorkshire Show.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-1723\" src=\"https:\/\/www.networkportfolio.co.uk\/mcclarroninsurance.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/talk-1-300x150.jpg\" alt=\"McClarrons Cyber Talk Christmas 2016 Round Up\" width=\"300\" height=\"150\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Digital launches<\/strong><br \/>\nWe\u2019ve been equally busy online with the launch of our new website, where you can keep up with our busy blog, increased activity on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/company\/mcclarrons-insurance\">LinkedIn<\/a>, and a new <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/McClarrons\">Twitter<\/a> account. Join us on any of these to keep up to date with where we are, what we\u2019re doing, and for relevant advice and insight on protecting your home or business.<\/p>\n<p>As you can see it\u2019s been a busy year, and we\u2019d like to thank you as always for sharing it with us through your continued business.
